When positive terminal is deteriorated, charging voltage does not go up beyond 13.0 ~ 13.5V. And then, charger keeps supplying big current judging battery is not fully charged yet. It causes over-charging and damages positive terminal of the battery.<\/p>\n<p>(1-a) From many years study and tests, we&#8217;ve found that<br \/>\n<b>\u201cMajor reason for deterioration of battery\u201d comes from deterioration of negative terminal.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tDeterioration comes from Sulfation of negative terminal <br \/>\n&#8211;\t\u201cSulfation\u201d: Lead sulfate changing to large crystallines <br \/>\n&#8211;\tSulfation reduces charging capacity of the battery<br \/>\n&#8211;\t\u201cCause of Sulfation\u201d comes from reduction of hydrogen over-voltage. <\/p>\n<div style=\"vertical-align: middle;float:left;\" ><img src=\"http:\/\/jpn-bat.com\/en\/images\/superk-about2.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:40px;float:right;text-align:left;width:440px;\">\n<p><span style=\"padding-bottom:50px;\">Electron microscopic photo of Sulfation on negative electrode plate From our research, approx. 80% of lead-acid batteries were replaced and abandoned due to sulfation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br clear=\"both\"><\/p>\n<p>(1-b)  Other reasons of battery deterioration include:<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/jpn-bat.com\/en\/images\/superkcheck.gif\" style=\"margin:5px 0 0 0;\">Over-charging: When electrolyte temperature is high, positive terminal is corroded and deteriorated. Deteriorated positive terminal causes over-charging of the battery. <br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/jpn-bat.com\/en\/images\/superkcheck.gif\" style=\"margin:5px 0 0 0;\">Deep discharge: When too big current is discharged, it reduces battery charging capacity.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/jpn-bat.com\/en\/images\/superkcheck.gif\" style=\"margin:5px 0 0 0;\">Shortage of water in the battery: It causes increase of electrolyte\u2019s specific gravity, and then it causes insufficient charging. <\/p>\n<p>\n(2)Super-K additive will dissolve within the battery cell gradually, and its main component,<br \/>\norganic polymer particles will be absorbed on the electrodes.
